![]() As the God of the Underworld, Hades had absolute control over the Underworld and all its subject. His actions show the size of his destructive power and abilities. Hades is one of the most powerful deities in the Saint Seiya Universe, being Zeus and Poseidon's oldest brother. Interestingly, Seiya comments there is such sadness in Hades' deep blue eyes implying there is something tragic that has happened to him in the past. Recently, Hades agreed to his father's request that he spare Leo Aiolia for being such an honorable opponent in exchange for obtaining his Dunamis to restore his lost body. Hades went so far as to personally curse Seiya for daring to draw blood from him by impaling him and forcing him to live out the rest of his days crippled. He even extends that courtesy to her elite Bronze Saints, but he is nonetheless cruel towards them as he viciously hacked them with his blade. Regardless of his hatred for humanity, he does love his niece, Athena, and offers her numerous times to be spared and convince her of his misanthropy. This reveals Hades' incredible arrogance and self-serving nature, for he completely believes that everything he does is righteous by virtue of being a God and that humanity must just cater to his wishes, no matter how wicked his purpose is, seemingly unable to accept that Gods are meant to guide humanity with wisdom and compassion, rather than oppress them with fear and tyranny and in turn be worshipped and respected for their kindness rather than hierarchical status. Hades feels nothing but scorn for humanity, feeling they are impure, ignoble, and disrespectful towards the Gods and as such has time and time again tried to destroy humanity under the pretense of cleaning it. He is also seen to be a cunning manipulator and charismatic liar who goes as far as promising eternal life to his subordinates, except it is disclosed by Virgo Shaka and his conversation with Buddha that such promises are ultimately false. As such he feels no remorse about the thousands or potentially millions of lives lost as a result of the wars he has waged and has no qualms in using his Specters as he pleases ultimately viewing them as tools. He believes unequivocally that Gods are the superior race, and that humanity must bend to the deities' will unconditionally for they are to be no more than servants to the Gods. Hades is a very stern deity with absolute pride over his godly status, and the power and authority that come with it. The rest of his outfit is the usual Hades's style, purple jamb and black cloak. The belt with gold tribal details and what stands out in it is the concentrated red emerald. The clothes are typical of what Hades usually wears, a purple long shirt covering his entire body, along with some yellow details, a dark purple strap tied in the area. The host's original hair color becomes black, their skin turns pale, and the host's eyes become green, basically the appearance becomes similar to the vivid image of his original body. In human form, the appearance of Hades has its variations, because once Hades is reborn to begin the divine battle against Athena, he takes over the purest human body as he doesn't want to hurt his divine body with blood, but when the host is chosen, there is many changes in their appearance. Hades may seem good to be chosen to go to the Elysium, which make him appear kind and pious (and his true body reflects this), but like everyone whom God punishes for being a sinner, Hades shows impiety (many characters in the series criticize this upon entering Underworld). Hades's beauty does not reflect his personality. ![]() When he wears his armor, his appearance has an angelic atmosphere despite the gloomy aspect, which is silver and gray details and is composed of several angel wings and stored in Elysium for exclusive use only for the original body. ![]() His hair is long and black, some of the wicks in the front cross over his face, the upper part is shaking, the rest is smooth and shed. His skin looks like snow, he has yellow eyes in the manga, but they're colored green in the anime. ![]() His true body plays a important role in deceiving others when they saw such a beautiful figure, because it hid his cruel and disdainful self away from sight. In his original body, Hades possessed an otherworldly beauty, in other words, the personification of beauty, particularly because of this he has great value in maintaining his body, without a single scratch. ![]()
